If you feel like a healthy hot cuppa, our Nutritionist Nereda Merrin has developed this delicious hot chocolate smoothie.
- 2 cups spinach
- 6 medjool dates, pitted
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. cinnamon powder
- 2 tbsp. cacao powder
- ½ cup oats
- 2 tsp. chia seeds
- 2 tsp. ground flaxseed (linseed)
- 2 ½ – 3 cups boiling water, depending on the smoothie consistency you like
- Blend all ingredients in high powdered blender, Thermomix or food processor until smooth.
- Add a dash of cold water if too hot for you to drink.
